Class Types...

There are several different class types on offer at the box.

WOD Class

(Workout of the Day)

The regular CrossFit class.

A blend of strength, cardio and gymnastic elements in a mix of patterns for time, reps or rounds. A one hour class with a warm up, focus section, WOD and cool down.

Olympic Lifting

A ninety minute class dedicated entirely to the Olympic lifts (the Clean & Jerk and Snatch) and their associated exercises.

Barbell Club

Open Gym

An open session for more advanced members to practice and learn elements of CrossFit at their own pace. Or perhaps to tick a certain WOD off in their diary.

A coach is still on hand to provide advice and assistance. 

CrossFit Kids

 

CrossFit classes especially for kids! With small groups of children in three age bands and fully certified CrossFit Kids instructors we will start them early into the ways of functional fitness.



Kiddies (4-6),  Kids (7-10), Teens (11-14)

 

The Connect Barbell Club runs five sessions a week and devotes the entire hour class to lifting. We focus on the main power lifts such as the Squat, Press, Deadlift and Bench and their accessory exercises. Perfect for those who want to CrossFit but still focus on getting bigger and stronger.

Competitors Class

Mobility Class

A class that will unglue your sticky bits and allow you to move like a supple leopard. A whole hour of stretching, mobilising and loosening that will allow you to move with improved function and perform better when you lift.



Note - you may need more than one class!

 

There are now CrossFit competitions throughout the country during most months of the year and as we have grown at Connect we have developed and coached some very good athletes who now participate in these events.

 

This is an advanced class for those members really looking to push their training to the next level and compete against the best CrossFitters in the country.

 

Be sure to book in with us first to reserve your space in a class. We are strict with numbers to allow each athlete to receive valuable individual attention so you need to ensure you are booked in with us via our online booking system (see tab above) no later than 10pm on the previous day. We also ask for notice if you cant make a class you are booked in for.
