Getting Started...
So if we have begun to intrigue you and you would like to know more then either give us a call or send us an email and tell us you'd like to come along. We'll then arrange a time for you to come down to the box, meet us and check the facility out. We will find out a little bit more about you and what it is you want to achieve by coming to Connect so that we can personally help you get there in the fastest way possible. If you decide that you are serious about your goals and you are willing to make that commitment we can advise you on the best way to get started with us be it through a Group Intro Course or a package of Private Training.
To make things simple we've got a step-by-step guide to start you on your CrossFit journey:

Step 1 -
Using the contact form on the home page (or here) or any of the details on the website get in touch and tell us you'd like to come down to check things out. If you could tell us a little bit about yourself and what sort of training, if any, you have done in the past that would also be great. Remember, CrossFit is for anyone so don't worry if you are a complete beginner.

Step 2 -
One of the team will give you a call back and we can then chat about your fitness goals and ambitions and we will tell you more about our facility and what it means to train with us.

Step 3 -
If you like the idea of training with us after our initial chat we will book you in for a free consultation. You will come down to the box, meet us and we can show you around. We will then go into more detail about exactly what it is you want to achieve by training with us and how we can help you get there.

Step 4 -
The two ways of joining with us are via either a Group Intro Course which consists of 16 'Elements' classes or a package of Private Training. On both routes you will be closely coached on the 9 foundational CrossFit movements, we will assess your fitness and ability levels and slowly ramp up the intensity of the workouts. By the end of the course you will feel totally comfortable in joining in a regular WOD class, have gained good knowledge of correct lifting techniques and made some friends too.
After your Intro Course you are then free to join any of our regular timetabled classes and really explore everything we offer at Connect. We still keep things nice and simple for you during the first few weeks as its important to ramp up the intensity of the sessions slowly. What might look quite easy on the whiteboard can be quite deceptive! We ensure that you work at exactly the right level for your current abilities.
Please note: If you are a higher level athlete with experience of the Olympic lifts or have done CrossFit elsewhere then this is of course taken into consideration. You may not need to do the full Intro Course. Please get in touch and we can discuss your experience.
